It was with great sadness that I discovered, this morning, of the death of Micky Jones, one of the guitarists of Welsh rockers, Man. I had been so wrapped up in my own problems lately that I failed to notice his passing on March 10th this year.

Micky was a fine player and seeing him on stage with his distinctive Batwing Gibson SG was always a joy. His talent was immense and, although never truly recognised as he should have been, he was a true star of the (Welsh) music scene.

I had the pleasure of meeting Micky on several occasions in the '80s and '90s and he was a real gent. 

A great loss to music everywhere, not just in South Wales.
