Demon - Child of the Dark Sky CD Single - 2004
Child of the Dark Sky was the first CD artwork I attempted for Demon. When I met them, the artwork for Spaced Out Monkey was already in progress, although I did design the T-Shirts for the tour to support the CD.
Child of the Dark Sky was written about the street children in Brazil and, when Jimmy Page heard it, he asked if they could use it for the charity that he was a patron of, The ABC Trust, which was concerned with the plight of these unfortunate children.
I used an image of the Christo Redentor and the Brazilian flag not only to give the artwork an identity and a location, but also because I thought the image of Christ with his arms open gave the right feel, given the subject matter.
