Demon - Live in Germany - 2009
This artwork was the most difficult to create and I went through several concepts before we all agreed on the final one.
Originally, I wanted to use the Better The Devil You Know imagery, which is very striking; it would also have given continuity with the Live at Tiffnay's DVD, as the intent is to have a series of live DVDs. However, the line-up that recorded BTDYK is not the one that toured it, and is not the one on the DVD. So, I needed a theme.
After discounting some suggestions which I felt would not go down well in Germany, I came up with the black/red/gold colour scheme. It not only looked quite good, but it was definitely German. Once again, I used images of the line-up that is on the footage. Fortunately, I had taken some live photographs of this band, and some of the band members had taken some pictures on tour, which worked well as the video contained some tour footage video clips. All in all, the finished result is quite pleasing, although it took several months longer to create than it should have done.
