Holidays in the Sun - Morecambe 20th-22nd June 2003
OK, it's a long story, but I didn't take pictures of any of the other bands I saw during the weekend...
Best bands of the weekend? Of the ones I'd never heard before, Crucified Venus and Haggis were outstanding and Tetsu Arraye were just plain scary. Resistance 77, Section 5, NY Rel-X, Midnight Creeps are always great. TV Smith, The Damned, The Anti-Nowhere League and TSOL were truly awesome and could all play on any bill, anywhere and still pull a good crowd, they are fantastic.
Once again, too many bands, too many stages for you to see everyone you want. And yes, that is a criticism. I would actually prefer fewer bands, in fewer locations, but what ya gonna do?!
A very enjoyable weekend and very sad to think that this will be the last Holidays In The Sun bash in the UK. Hopefully, minds will be changed, in due course. Thanks to The Skeptix for having me along.
