Keep It True: Demon - Lauda Königshafen 25th April 2009

The story of my journey to and from this event is told elsewhere. Click here to go to that page.
The festival itself was a great success, organised by someone does it, not to make money, but, because he loves the music and is passionate about it. The fans that I met attended the event because they also love the music. The bands that played did it because this is the music they live for. What this results in is a rock and roll festival with a fantastic atmosphere. It may not be the biggest, the most prestigious, the grandest event on the Heavy Metal calendar, but it is certainly one of the most enjoyable I have been to in a long time.
Dave Hill, the Demon himself, was here to perform a couple of Demon songs with Roxxcalibur, in response to demand, following Demon's appearance at a warm-up show for the 2006 event. As I was in Munich, I could hardly miss it, could I?
Needless to say, Dave went down a storm. The thing that amazed me was the audience. They new all the words and just kept on singing after Don't Break the Circle had finished. I stood at the front with Mike, speechless, listening to the reaction.
Awesome!
