I doubt that, In reality, except for walls, roofs, doors, and monks and stuff, the abbey would have looked too much different 1000 years ago. It would hardly have been centrally-heated, with fitted carpets, widescreen TV and internet cafe but, you never know. Still, it is a monumental structure and, considering all of Hank Eight's destructive tantrums, it is in pretty good nick. In spite of many original features, it is a bit of a fixer-upper. Nice big garden, plenty of room for a nice UPVC conservatory and could do with some replacement windows too. Would make a nice family home or, perhaps a high class hotel, or exclusive business park. It could even be converted into luxury apartments, subject to planning permission, of course.
