Providence RI - 22nd - 23rd April 2005

On the Friday afternoon after work (the last day of my antibiotics) I caught the train down to Providence to see my friend Jeff and catch a gig by his band, the Midnight Creeps.
OK. So, how come I know anyone in Providence, Rhode Island?
Funny you should ask.
When I came over her with The Skeptix, Jeff drove us around on the right coast. He's a great bloke and seeing as how I was in Boston, I thought I'd drop him a mail and see if he felt like meeting up.
He's crazed, so he did. It was nice seeing him again and we had a great night watching the Creeps, drinking, talking into the early hours, and generally taking the piss out of Jeff ;-)
I really love this photo. It's the way the dome of the State House is mirrored by the lamp... god, I'm good!

The second time I nearly got arrested for taking a photo
(but the first time this trip!)

I took the pictures of the State House as I was leaving, on my way to the Railway station. I was standing on the platform, a cop fronted me and asked me why I was taking pictures.
I ask you, why would a terrorist want to blow up the State House in Providence Rhode Island? Peter Griffin, yeah. Terrorists, I don’t think so.
I caught the train back on the Saturday afternoon. I was still limping and couldn't walk very far, but I was determined to go up the Prudential Tower and take some shots over Boston, then spend the evening in the bar, resting my leg and soothing the pain with a couple of LIITs. As you do.
