The Skeptix - Hate and Fear CD - 2003
The Skeptix CD Hate and Fear was my first proper attempt to create artwork for a CD. With the exception of the hand artwork, which was drawn by Dek of The Drongos For Europe, everything else was created by me.
The photographs were all mine from the previous year's trip to the USA, to play the Holidays In The Sun festival at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park NJ.
The song lyrics actually came out much smaller than I would have liked, but to get them all in to the booklet, along with the liner notes I wrote for each of the band members, it was somewhat necessary. I also created a photo-montage for each band member as, at the time, no-one really knew what they looked like.
The on-body artwork for the CD itself was quite tricky. In the end, we decided to go for a black on silver design which was quite striking, rather than a full on-body print.
The CD sold quite well at the gigs on the 2003 US Tour.
