Amy Condrey

The Rittz and Friends Festival 2012
I'm not a fan, generally, of solo female singers, nor do I claim to know much about them. It is not my field of expertise. To this old grouch, they all sound alike and, well, I saw Joni Mitchell back in the day.
Amy Condrey, I had been told, was rather good. So, I thought I'd give her a chance.
Playing a guitar and accompanying herself with a loop (all clever stuff) I was, initially, not that impressed. Then, I realised she was only building up her accompanying loop! What? I'm old, leave me alone!
Once she began flexing her vocal chords, I began to pay attention. What a voice! I find a lot of females tend to shout to get volume, something I detest. Amy can sing sweetly and then, open up and produce a powerful sound without any harshness. Just a sweet sound with some really nice songs. This young lady has some talent, I can tell you that. I hope she goes far.
