Dirty Green Vinyl

The Rittz and Friends Festival 2012
I think that Dirty Green Vinyl (from Huddersfield) was up next on the indoor stage. I'd heard the name before and seen a few stickers and stuff around but, I'd never, actually, heard them. Still, fair dos. If The Rittz reckon they're good, it wasn't going harm me to give them a hearing.
I really don't know how to describe them. For some reason, which I am at a loss to explain, even hardly, why watching them made me think of Stray Cats. I know. You either said, 'Who?' Or, you think I'm losing my marbles as, they sound nothing alike. Go figure! Musically, ah, young people sounds, which I guess is, what? Indie? File under Popular: Pop Music? I just know that I rather enjoyed their quirky rock-stylings. I enjoyed them and, were I younger and not so grumpy, they are just the kind of band that would get me up and tapping my toe, maybe even shaking a shoulder. Most of all, I loved the drummer; he's great! (And he gave me a sticker!) I just loved their delivery and stage presence. Their set was pure enjoyment. Simple as that.
By the way, the fact that they are from Huddersfield may, or may not, be significant. I certainly don't hold it against them. Go see them and have some fun!
