Sunday 10th August 2003 - Epilogue

Thanks and credits
This is a purely personal selection of people I met, so I apologise to anyone I missed out - I'm getting old.
First and foremost, The Skeptix - Fish, Ush, Chig and Snotty (Shark, Dumas, Mucus, Toblerone would not be the same without you guys! Don't worry, you'll get a credit in the book too!)
The Street Brats - Ugly, Jordy, Max, Rick - You're young now, but you'll get old too! Da Bears!
Jeff Creep - for making the first few days a blast and taking care of us on the right coast.
Adi and Jonny, and all of the NJ music mafia. The jam session was awesome.
Dead End Boy Chris in Baltimore - What a host!
Davey Tilt - for making the left coast memorable and services above and beyond the call of duty, such as inviting us into your home. (Hey Bob!)
Melissa - How's Denver?
Greg - How's Chico?
Chris in Oakland - Thanks for picking us up in SF and the use of your garage for beer drinking purposes.
Mikey in Oakland - great party, nice fruit trees and tasty barbecue.
San Francisco - Could I please have my cold, black heart back?
Fredie in LA - Not the asshole he appears to be! Thanks for everything Fred. You are a star!
All-Out Attak - Stick at it, you guys are real good.
Mark and Debi in San Antonio - Thanks for the guided tour of The Alamo.
Davey's wife and friends in D/FW for putting us up and making us welcome.
Now for the things I've used from other places:
Lonely Planet. I found my USA guide invaluable and if you're going somewhere, get the guide, they're full of useful info, places to see, eat, sleep, all sorts. They also have a pretty cool website www.lonelyplanet.com.
For additional information on movies and the stars, thanks to the International Movie Database www.imdb.com I don't know what I'd do without imdb.com.
The BBC for the Seven Wonders of the Industrial World series and the Central Pacific Railroad for information on the Transcontinental Railroad.
For various pieces of information, I continue to find the About Inventors website very useful.
Finally, I think, the Seeing Stars website, for details about Hollywood. I just wish I'd found the website before I went!
If you're not on the list and I met you, or I've used something of yours but not credited you, apologies. Email me: marklpotts@googlemail.com

2010 Update
Updating this for my new website, I spent a lot of time re-reading things I'd written seven years ago. I had forgotten so much. In the years since, my life has changed immeasurably and all of this seems like it happened to someone else. I have lost touch with pretty much everyone I met on this trip. Still, I look back on one hell of an adventure and am grateful to Steve, Trevor, Paul, and Ian for having me along.
