Hollywood Boulevard
'You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of.
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.'
Celluloid Heroes (Ray Davies) - The Kinks

Hollywood Blvd. runs parallel to Sunset, just two blocks to the north. It has a totally different feel to it though. It is much more commercialised and tourist orientated, whereas Sunset is laid back, cooler and a little seedier. Sunset is Marlon Brando in The Wild One, whereas Hollywood Blvd. is Rock Hudson, all glitz, glamour and show; nothing is real and it's all a front. Oh yeah, it's gayer than Christmas too. Do you reckon Doris let Rock try on her frilly, little unmentionables when they were filming Pillow Talk?

There is so much to do and see on Hollywood Blvd. that a couple of hours simply isn't enough. Well, not for me, anyway. I could easily have spent the whole day exploring this and the other streets around here. Oh, yeah, I could have used a bucket full of cash to spend, as well. There are so many souvenir shops, boutiques, exhibitions and museums, tours, not to mention all the restaurants and shit with more history than you can shake a stick at. Oh, to be hideously wealthy, that must be nice. Have you ever noticed how the people who say that money isn't everything are always fabulously wealthy? Tossers!
